Last updated: July 2026This Cookie Policy explains how Wed OS uses cookies and similar browser-storage technologies when you use our platform, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser to help it function and to remember information about your visit. "Similar technologies" include browser storage mechanisms such as localStorage and sessionStorage, which work in a comparable way. In this policy we refer to all of these collectively as "cookies". Cookies can be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (which remain until they expire or are cleared).
2. How Wed OS uses cookies
Wed OS is a professional tool, and we keep our use of cookies deliberately minimal. We use cookies primarily to keep you securely signed in and to remember your preferences. Importantly:
- To keep you authenticated, Wed OS stores an authentication token (a JWT) in your browser. This token identifies your session so you do not have to log in on every page. It is essential to the operation of the platform.
- We do not use third-party advertising cookies, and we do not sell data collected via cookies.
- We do not track you across other websites for advertising purposes.
3. Categories of cookies we use
The table below summarises the categories of cookies and browser storage used by the platform, with examples.

Where analytics or non-essential storage is used in a way that requires consent under applicable law, we will seek your consent before setting it.
4. How to control cookies
You have several ways to manage cookies:
- Browser settings. Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies and clear site storage through their settings or "privacy" menu. Consult your browser's help pages for instructions.
- Clearing site data. You can clear Wed OS site data at any time. Note that doing so will remove your authentication token and sign you out, and you will need to log in again.
- Blocking essential cookies. Because essential cookies (including the auth token) are required for the platform to work, blocking them will prevent you from signing in and using Wed OS.
Because the essential cookies are strictly necessary to deliver a service you have requested, they are set without requiring separate consent, consistent with the DPDP Act and GDPR/ePrivacy principles.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Please check back periodically.
